PrimeSpan Coaching Standards

PrimeSpan Coaching Standards

Our Commitment

PrimeSpan coaching should be practical, respectful, evidence-informed, and centered on the goals and autonomy of the individual.

Our coaches are expected to communicate clearly, stay within appropriate professional boundaries, avoid exaggerated promises, and recognize when a person's needs require another qualified professional.

Scope of Coaching

PrimeSpan coaching may include:

Healthy-longevity education.
Goal setting.
Behavior-change support.
Accountability.
Habit development.
Practical planning.
Reflection and problem solving.
Support staying consistent with personally chosen goals.

Coaching Does Not Replace Healthcare

PrimeSpan coaching is non-clinical. Coaches do not diagnose disease, prescribe medication, provide medical treatment, or replace licensed healthcare professionals.

When needs fall outside coaching scope, clients should be encouraged to seek the appropriate qualified professional.

No Health Guarantees

PrimeSpan coaches must not promise that a program, lifestyle change, supplement, behavior, or intervention will:

Prevent dementia.
Cure disease.
Reverse disease.
Guarantee a longer life.
Guarantee independence.
Guarantee cognitive improvement.
Guarantee weight loss.
Produce the same result for everyone.

PrimeSpan's internal outreach standards already prohibit claims that PrimeSpan prevents, reverses, cures, or treats dementia or another disease.

Our Standards

The expectations every PrimeSpan representative works within.

Respect and Autonomy

Clients decide which goals they want to pursue. Coaches may educate, ask questions, help identify options, and support follow-through.

PrimeSpan coaching should never rely on fear, shame, manipulation, or pressure.

Evidence and Accuracy

Coaches should distinguish between established evidence, emerging evidence, opinion, and areas of uncertainty.

New or popular longevity ideas should not be presented as proven simply because they are attracting attention.

Professional Qualifications

PrimeSpan representatives must accurately describe their:

  • Education.
  • Professional experience.
  • Certifications.
  • Licenses.
  • PrimeSpan relationship.
  • Scope of practice.

B.U.I.L.D. Certification should never be presented as medical licensure or a third-party accreditation that it does not hold.

Privacy and Confidentiality

Client and prospect information should be handled responsibly.

Private patient, resident, client, or employer information must not be used for PrimeSpan solicitation or outreach.

Respectful Outreach

PrimeSpan representatives should use permission-based outreach.

The existing PrimeSpan outreach process allows an opening message, requested information, and one follow-up, then instructs the representative to stop if the individual does not respond.

Financial Transparency

Referral arrangements or other financial relationships should not override what is appropriate for the individual.

PrimeSpan representatives should never recommend a service solely because a financial incentive exists.

Complaints and Accountability

PrimeSpan welcomes concerns about coaching quality or professional conduct. Concerns should be reviewed objectively and addressed promptly.
